Who We Are

Kingston Gospel Temple is charter member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.

We are driven by the knowledge that every soul matters to the Lord. It was our driving force when we first became a Church in 1919, and it is still our driving force today—spurring us on in advancing the cause of Christ, demonstrating His love and care, so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to know Christ as their Saviour and Lord.

Statement of Values

  • We value the whole Word of God consistently engaged in the believer’s everyday life as our final authority for our transformation to Christlikeness.

  • We value a personal relationship with God, for every person, through Jesus Christ, lived out by consistently following the example of Jesus, both individually and through fellowship with other believers.

  • We value the Spirit’s role to lead us in every area of our lives, both corporately and as individuals.

  • We value all people as created and loved by God. We live out God’s love for us by pursuing Christ-like relationships with each other.

  • We value the biblical principle of discipleship, forming intentional relationships for teaching and learning to become more like Christ

  • We value the good news of Jesus Christ proclaimed in word and action, locally and globally, for the salvation of those who choose to believe in Him.

What We Believe

We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the divinely inbreathed, infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in the Persons of the Holy Trinity.

We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His sinless humanity and perfect life, the eternal all-sufficiency of His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father’s right hand, and His personal coming again at His second advent.

We believe that justification is a judicial act of God on the believer’s behalf solely on the merits of Christ, and that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe in holy living, the present day reality of the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord’s supernatural healing of the human body.

We believe in Christ’s Lordship of the Church, the observance of the ordinances of Christian baptism by immersion for believers, and the Lord’s Supper.

We believe in the eternal blessedness of the redeemed in heaven and the eternal doom of the unregenerate in the lake of fire.
